Esta obra recoge en forma de apunte los textos de las conferencias dictadas en la Sociedad Central de Arquitectos, en marzo de 2004, en ocasión de la realización del Seminario Internacional "Diversas maneras de mirar el paisaje", con el auspicio de los gobiernos de Alemania y Francia. Los temas tratados son: Paisaje con un filósofo, un geógrafo y un historiador, por el Dr. Michel Baridon (la mirada cultural); La Pampa: paisaje de velada dialéctica, por el Ing. Carlos Thays y el Arq. Jorge Bayá Casal (la mirada del paisajista); Vanguardia y arquitectura de jardín en Alemania. Un fenómeno olvidado de la República de Weimar y su aniquilación durante la época del Nacionalsocialismo, por el Dr. Joachim Wolschke-Bulmahn (la mirada ideológica). Este encuentro dio la oportunidad de poner, una vez más en valor, la discusión sobre la inclusión de la naturaleza en el proyecto.
