Este proyecto explora el papel del teatro lopesco en la construcción del 'yo' colectivo nacional. Se analizan la imagen de España y de los españoles creada por Lope mediante una constante manipulación de la historia patria, así como los posibles efectos de la propagación de esta imagen durante el siglo XVII.
