The charming town of Los Gatos is nestled at the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains and is sometimes referred to as the Gem City of the Foothills. Desde la perspectiva de la antropología social, y mediante el estudio de la obra de una selección de artistas actuales, la publicación analiza las imágenes del hombre y la mujer generadas en Andalucía durante las tres últimas décadas a través de la pintura, el vídeo y el arte de acción. Partiendo de una retrospectiva del arte plástico y visual andaluz desde el inicio del siglo XX hasta los años ochenta, este trabajo estimula la reflexión sobre qué expresiones de la masculinidad o la feminidad se transmiten actualmente a través del arte.
