Análisis de la arquitectura militar de la ciudad de Sevilla, a través del estudio de cuarenta y dos edificios que en algún momento tuvieron un uso militar, ya fuera industrial, de almacenamiento, administrativo, hospitalario o residencial. Se trata de forma singular el Cuartel de la Puerta de la Carne, primer edificio diseñado y construido expresamente para uso residencial de la tropa, considerado como modelo de la arquitectura militar, incluso por sus coetáenos.
