The main objective of this work was to obtain an overview of the Roman monetary circulation in Gallaecia following the road network that crossed this territory in Roman times. With a historical and economic emphasis, this volume aims to understand the process of monetization within the economy of the Galicians and Asturians and the ways in which the phenomenon occurs. Of particular importance is the fact that these people were never minting currency so the monetization process was not provoked by civic institutions but through contact with people and goods coming from outside the territory. This work attempts to mark areas and zones of different speeds with which monetization occurred and thus Romanization through monetization.
