A pesar de su crisis, sería interesante rediscutir sus postulados para extraer conceptos aplicables hoy, fundamentalmente a la concepción de la ciudad como un todo. Claro que todos estos conceptos, el de la vivienda mínima y la ciudad moderna, fundantes del denominado movimiento moderno en arquitectura, que se basaban en una drástica ruptura con la historia, es decir con el atraso, se materializaban a través de una nueva concepción.
