As is normal with one of the most influential texts in the history of mankind, the Torah has been the subject of several translations, and this book presents the one by two Sephardic Jews, Yom Tov Atías and Abraham Usque, published for the first time in 1553 in the Italian city of Ferrara, in a beautiful facsimile based on the edition published by Meir Halevi Leteris in 1942 in Buenos Aires.

Esta obra explica los procesos esenciales que han dado forma a la trayectoria histórica de Chile, acogiendo lo que la historiografía corrientemente ha estudiado y difundido como historia nacional, pero también ofreciendo interpretaciones que complementan, y en ocasiones cuestionan, las nociones más arraigadas sobre la historia de esta realidad natural y social nombrada Chile desde épocas inmemoriales. De este modo se asume que no existe una sola historia de Chile y que la heterogeneidad también es propia de esta comunidad.
