Thanksgiving has arrived and Clifford decides to visit his mother. Clifford has to stay home with his neighbors, as Emily Elizabeth's family goes visiting her grandmother. At first, Clifford feels lonely -thinking of his own family-, but then he decides to visit his mother. He travels many miles, crosses bridges, falls in the water... he even gets into the subway!
